Launched at Basel world 2016, the Daytona reference 116508 was the first to be supplied with a green dial. While it retained the features owners loved: chronograph subdials, tachymeter and the screw down chronic pushers it was not a popular model in the beginning.  This all changed following a episode of talking watches with the musician John Mayer.

At one stage the 116508 was overshadowed by its steel cerachrome counter parts, but it quickly gained more popularity in the marketplace after this feature and leading to the nickname 'John Mayer Daytona'. Undoubtedly a striking combination, the yellow and green work very well together and after much speculation the model was finally discontinued in 2023.

Our 2022, reference 116508, is presented in unworn condition, and offered as a full set, with 2022 dated warranty card,  both swing tags, booklets, original Rolex box. This example is further enhanced by the Rolex international warranty valid until 2027.
