+This striking Haida Gold and Abalone Repoussé Moon Pendant is handmade by Haida artist Derek White from the Haida Nation. The pendant has been hand-carved and hammered in 18 karat gold and features two abalone inlays for the eyes. The repoussé (hammered) finish adds dimensionality and a textured finish to the gold surface.
The Moon Symbol is the protector and guardian of the earth. Its spirit watches over us and can change our moods.

The pendant is nearly 2 1/2 inches or 6 1/2 centimeters high (including the bale), 2 inches or 5 centimeters wide, and weighs over 1 ounce, or close to 31 grams.
