When it comes to under the radar vintage watch companies, Zodiac should be one of the first brands to come to mind. Zodiac made several sports models in the 50s-60s and were direct competitors to Rolex, Blancpain, and Tudor but are often looked over as they don't receive the same clout as the aforementioned companies. However, this is to the advantage of the collectors that enjoy the subtle, or not so subtle nuances that the Zodiac timepieces carry. Zodiac timepieces often feature bright color combinations that can make any vintage watch collector swoon.
The Sea Wolf was introduced first in 1953 (the same year as the Rolex Submariner) and was one of the first diving sports watches marketed for the general public and it performed really well for the brand. The second generation of Sea Wolfs includes some of the most interesting and colorful diving watches from the era, bright oranges, blues, and greens to make both highly visible and highly attractive wristwatches.

CASE & BRACELET
The case appears to have been very lightly polished in the past, showing honest signs of use and retaining thick and symmetrical lugs. The original light blue bakelite and brass bezel is in excellent condition with minimal wear, the brass is showing on the outer edge of the bezel which makes for an interesting patina that adds to the watch's vintage aesthetic. The crown was replaced at some point prior to our acquisition. The case back does show wear however all the factory engravings remain intact and legible. The JB Champion bracelet is era correct and is in excellent condition and retains 10 links that show minimal stretch from use.
DIAL & HANDS
The glossy dial has achieved a vibrant tropical patina that is consistent throughout and features an array of tropical color hues. The dial itself does show aging, however, it is appealing to the eye and adds to the watch's aesthetic. The tritium markers have aged to a dark patina and show no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands match the dial nicely, under U.V. light inspection the hour hand shows a small amount of lume loss and remains stable, the minute hand is fully intact.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch was recently serviced, back by our 1-year warranty of accurate timekeeping.
